Special Project

A loooooong time ago, we bought this bird feeder kit when our Christian school had their annual Christmas toy store. I guess we thought it would be fun to make, but Elijah was way too small to make it with me. Well, we finally pulled it out of storage and decided it was time to put it together.

Elijah and I brought it out to the garage and first stained it. Elijah thought that was pretty cool...I thought it was pretty cool we didn't make too much of a mess :) After we let the stain dry, we went back into the garage and started putting it together. Elijah helped for about the first minute and then wanted to ride his bike with Natalie, so I ended up putting it together myself...that was our fun father-son bonding time :)



































We hung it up outside our kitchen window and filled it up with bird seed and it's been about a week. Today, the first birds finally came while we were eating lunch. The kids were super excited and loved watching them! Well, our special project was a success...at least the birds thought so.
