Donuts

National Donut Day was this last Friday. Our family decided to help celebrate the day and went to Krispy Kreme for free donuts for breakfast. Thankfully, traffic wasn't too bad in the direction we were going so we were able to get there and back quickly. The kids loved watching the donuts being made, maybe even more than the donuts!?! We thought the warm glazed donuts were especially delicious that day!

In honor of the day, I decided to make some donuts too...not ones you can eat but fun felt ones. I actually had the idea months ago, after seeing other crafty blogs I follow. I loved seeing all the felt food made but especially thought the donuts were cute! In my collection of crafting stuff, I already had felt and beads so I decided to make as many donuts as I had material for. I couldn't quite reach one dozen, instead only 9. After cutting out the shapes months ago when I had the idea, I just recently went to work on the sewing and finally finished them this weekend. I'm so thankful all the beading work is done! Now the kids can pretend to eat donuts every day! :)
