On Friday, Dave's parents came to visit so we could celebrate with them. (Have I mentioned yet that my sister, Auntie Tricia, also flew out to visit us and be here for Elijah's birthday?! So great!)
After naps, Elijah got to open his presents. He got a Lego watch (he's really into wearing a watch and checking the time), Robots movie, clothes (which he didn't care anything about) :), remote control car from Cars, a Transformer, Bakugans, an ABC magnetic puzzle of vehicles, and a booster seat for the car. Thanks, everyone!
After our spaghetti dinner, chosen by Elijah, we had some friends come over for cake and home-made ice cream. Elijah looked through all my birthday cake pages and chose an excavated dinosaur bones cake. It was definitely an easier cake to make, yet fun! :)
And that concludes Elijah's 5th birthday celebration. :)

Those presents will keep him busy for awhile! I am with Jen...what are the bones made out of? I like the dirt idea too, it makes me quite hungry for cake right now!
the bones were baked sugar cookies - we cut out the shapes and baked them. the dirt is crushed choc graham crackers (or teddy grahams) :)
