It's been a great day. This morning, Laura made sweet rolls for breakfast and as we were waiting for those to cook, I opened cards that Laura and the kids made me.
Laura is very creative. The shirt & tie card was from her, the notebook was from Natalie which inside were drawings from her. The tape measure was from Elijah, when you pull out the tape, it says, "I love Daddy thiiiiiiiiiiiis much!" Thanks guys!
A surprise present...a new camera bag! Awesome.
My only request was that we went to Shakey's Pizza for lunch. We love the food, the kids love playing games and trying to win tickets to get silly little prizes. It's a win-win, plus the kids love the food too. While Jonas watched the World Cup game playing on the big screen, we ate and then headed to the game area. Elijah really wanted to get a sticky man (60 tickets). I was wondering how we were going to do that. They each got a dollar to spend. Somehow, we ended up with 379 tickets!!! Elijah threw his quarter into one game and walked away with 250 tickets, jackpot! They were both able to get what they wanted :)
Tonight we had church at our house and we grilled hot dogs, ate potato salad, veggies and fruit for dinner, with an ice cream cake for dessert. Yum!
I think Father's day should be everyday :)
