Brick Wall

I've been working on a project that's taken a really long time...longer than I'd hoped. It's been in our plans to build a small retaining wall in our backyard. About a year ago, I sorted through old bricks that were taken from one of our World Impact homes when they were getting rid of their chimney. They were old and worn and covered with mortar. I spent many hours scraping off the old mortar and cleaning all the bricks. Then about 2 weeks ago I finally built the wall. This weekend I added mulch around all the plants. We really like the change that it brings to our backyard. Hooray for change!

And as follow-up, for those that do follow our blog...Thanks!!! We didn't really mean to give you such a hard time - we don't even watch "Heroes" either. :) And we do follow our friends' and family's blogs but don't comment much, so you probably don't even know we're there. We'll try to be better too. Thanks for reading! :)
