In the morning, at the end of my 3 mile run, I stopped and picked up donuts for breakfast. As I was walking home, a homeless man told me I looked like Jesus and then proceeded to hit me up for some money. I love LA! We had everything decorated in purple (Natalie's favorite color). We got some noise makers that the kids loved blowing them all morning.

Breakfast was good and Natalie opened one present from Elijah...a purple Dora watch.

Elijah and Natalie played in the pool for a little while and then my parents and Jenn and the kids came over around mid-morning. Everyone played until it was time for lunch - mac & cheese, one of Natalie's favorite meals.

After naps, it was time to open presents. Natalie got a lot of nice stuff from friends and family. I restored a broken crib that was going to be thrown away and gave it to Natalie for her baby dolls. Auntie Tricia (plus Grandpa and Grandma) stole the show though with a play kitchen set - all the kids were excited about that one!

After dinner, we sang "Happy Birthday" and had cake and ice cream. Laura made a purple butterfly cake and we had some friends come over to help celebrate.

Overall, it was a pretty fun day. The two things that Natalie kept doing all day was saying, "purple" and having to show everyone that she was "2" every time the word "birthday" was mentioned.

Happy Birthday, Natalie! We love you!!!
