Introducing Cecily Anne Pastoor

Last Saturday, January 12, at 6:55 a.m. our little niece Cecily Anne was born to my sister Leslie and her husband Michael. She was a healthy 8 lb, 11 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. Leslie and Cecily were already dismissed from the hospital on Sunday, the day after and have enjoyed healing and adjusting at home with the rest of the family. Big brother Gavin (19 months) seems to be adjusting well to sharing his mom and dad. :)

We plan on meeting little Cecily in March when we visit them in Minneapolis and attend our friend Blake's wedding. We can't wait to see her and give her lots and lots of kisses! Natalie is pretty excited to have a cousin so close in age too! Hopefully our kids will be close even with the miles separating them.

Boy, will March ever get here?!?! :)

P.S. Cecily is pronounced Seh-silly

Happy Birthday to Me

Today is my birthday...I am 29 years old!

This morning, Laura made me some home-made cinnamon rolls for breakfast, and I was allowed to open one present...an Elvis CD.

After we were done, we watched the Giants win their first round playoff game. This is the first time they made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs since 2000. They beat the Bucs (24-14)...and now play the Cowboys on Sunday. Good job guys, thanks for winning on my birthday!

In the afternoon, my parents came over to celebrate my birthday (and I guess see the grandkids). Here's a picture of me with all my presents! Elijah was a great help in opening them all up.

I got a really nice card from Elijah.

For dinner, we made cheese enchiladas and guacamole...and for dessert, Laura made a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. Yummy!

Thank you everyone who came over, called to wish me a happy birthday, sent a text, posted a birthday greeting on their blog, or gave me presents. I had a great birthday!
